The body of a woman, identified as La Pelona, was discovered on the banks of the Cuale River, near the Paso Ancho square. Witnesses had reportedly seen her earlier consuming alcohol.
Initial reports suggest that the woman, accompanied by a bottle of Tonayan, may have suffered a cardiac arrest while drinking, which likely led to her death.
Municipal Police responded to a call reporting a lifeless person by the riverbank. Upon arrival, they found the woman unresponsive, and immediately called for paramedics from the Fire Department. After examining her, paramedics confirmed that she had no vital signs.
The area was secured by police, and the Public Prosecutor’s Office was notified to carry out the necessary investigations.
