The Bay of Banderas celebrated the new year with high waves that gave locals and visitors an impressive spectacle: the manifestation of the ocean’s force when it crashed against the coast.
On the malecón, the wave hit the wall hard, covering the seahorse, giving those who managed to take a photo at the right time a perfect image.
In the Olas Altas area, waves of up to three or four meters high were breaking against the sand. At that time, several fishermen tried their luck taking advantage of the presence of sardines and their predators, but the force of the sea did not allow for much activity, and they soon gave up.
Many people came to the beach to watch, with most of them bundled up in jackets and warm clothes since a cold wind was felt from the mountain.
