Strange designs have appeared in a barley field near Puebla’s giant sinkhole in the municipality of Huejotzingo,
In the photo are irregular lines on the surface of the terrain, which is about 300 meters long by 50 meters wide.
Residents of the area said that last Monday, July 19th, they heard a noise as if a plane was passing by, but they did not see the aircraft.
A Puebla resident said, “Around one in the morning we heard a loud noise, like a plane passing by. That was how it sounded, but the sound stopped suddenly. Later in the morning, we got up, we went to see if there were any signs of the strange noise, and that was when we saw that the barley was all divided into parts. There are some circles, but they left others intact. We don’t know what it was. If it had been a whirlpool, it would have taken everything. But in this case, there are only parts where the barley was flat.”
The barley was flattened, not cut, and there are no signs or tracks of machinery.
Concerned residents requested the intervention of the authorities.
Civil Protection personnel from Puebla approached the area, but they were threatened by the owners of the property, who did not allow access to the area, since they do not want crowds of tourists invading their property.
Relatives of the owner of the fields said that the strange designs are the product of the gale and the rain that has prevailed in Puebla. However, no rain was registered in the area during the time the designs were made.
The owner of the land where the field is has threatened to shoot anyone who approaches.
This field is one kilometer away from the giant sinkhole, which became a tourist attraction.
