The small tunnel at the entrance to Puerto Vallarta’s Romantic Zone, known as “Túnel Chico,” is temporarily closed for drainage repairs. The closure affects the section where the Luis Donaldo Colosio Bypass meets the Emiliano Zapata neighborhood in downtown Puerto Vallarta.

The shutdown, scheduled for Monday, March 24, and Tuesday, March 25, is due to maintenance work by the Potable Water, Drainage, and Sewerage System (Seapal Vallarta) to repair sanitary drainage pipes. As a result, the bypass exit to Emiliano Zapata will be blocked, but the other exit will remain open in both directions, allowing traffic flow from south to north.

Additionally, repairs will take place on Venustiano Carranza Street, between Camichín and Naranjo. According to Seapal Vallarta, these improvements aim to enhance service quality and reduce health and environmental risks for local residents.

The closure is expected to last 24 hours, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Monday, though it may be extended depending on the progress of the work. Drivers are advised to take precautions and plan alternative routes if needed.
