With the arrival of the winter season, complaints regarding abuses committed by taxi drivers multiply, including high rates and discrimination against local residents.
With the arrival of international tourists, nationals go by the wayside, say the complaints, because drivers want foreigners who pay in dollars.
In response, leaders of the taxi drivers’ union announced telephone numbers users can call to lodge complaints, and even get their money back, in some cases.
Complaints can be reported at WhatsApp number 322-117-3460 (Labor Secretariat of the Union of Taxi Dealers in Puerto Vallarta), as well as at 322-226-1805 (Regional Unit State Services) during office hours from Monday to Friday.
