Some Telmex users in Puerto Vallarta have been without Internet service for up to a week and a half. When they call Telmex, they are told it is due to a failure, an “intermittency” in their service, without being given a target date for resolution.
Supposedly, the cause is a rupture of several fiber optic cables. But users are increasingly frustrated because the company’s telephone advisers have not told them any information.
Users have saturated Telmex offices, where they have become furious because agents there are no more forthcoming than over the phone.
Telmex has refused to offer any service discounts.
As of today, hundreds of families are not getting answers. Many of the families need the internet to take children’s classes online.
