From Thursday, August 1, to Saturday, August 3, 2024, Lázaro Cárdenas Park (also known as Parque de los Azulejos) will host the seventh edition of the Expo Tequila y Mezcal. This event will feature over 50 brands of agave spirits, showcasing the international fame of Mexico’s tequila and mezcal.
During a press conference on Tuesday, July 30, at the Puerto Vallarta Convention Center, event organizer Constantino Macris highlighted the tradition of this expo, which has traveled to various tourist destinations, including beach locations. Macris emphasized that the event includes free cultural and promotional activities to foster appreciation of these spirits among locals, as well as national and international tourists.
“The participating tequila brands are artisanal, and of very good quality. The intention is to promote knowledge of different tequila brands through tastings,” said Macris. “The event is free and aims to promote the brands. We will have a wide variety of artisanal tequilas. The goal is simply to promote tequila culture,” he added.
The seventh edition of Expo Tequila y Mezcal will run from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with the official opening scheduled for Thursday, August 1 at 6:00 p.m. The event will also feature performances by artists, such as Enrique Santana “El Errante Trovador,” creating a cultural and festive atmosphere for all attendees.
Additionally, food will be available for purchase from renowned local restaurants, offering a complementary gastronomic experience to the tequila and mezcal tastings.
