In the Del Toro neighborhood in Pitillal, there has been a sewage leak in a small stream for weeks, and Seapal has apparently ignored requests to fix it.

The water is located on Avenida Las Torres, almost at the intersection with 20 de Noviembre. Thousands of liters of sewage flow through the channel during 24 hours.

There are Seapal drains on the stream bed that spill this untreated water, which reaches the Pitillal River in a matter of minutes.

The residents of the area have reported the problem on several occasions to Seapal, but they have not provided a solution. The contamination of the river, and then to the beaches of Puerto Vallarta has not been stopped.

This small stream starts in the upper part of the delegation, through the El Mangal neighborhood, then runs through the Villa de Guadalupe, the Del Toro neighborhood, and finally flows into the Pitillal River.

This is one of the many areas where sewage flows into public roads, and which contributes to scenarios where, for instance, Holi beach is no longer suitable for recreational use because of high sewage bacteria counts.
