The Municipal Government of Puerto Vallarta made the decision to work in the streets of the city a few days before the start of Holy Week, and the effects of this decision are severe.

Specifically, there are two work points at the moment on the main avenue of the city: lateral lanes from Plaza Marina to La Ballena, and, in central lanes from the bullring La Paloma to Los Peines.

Both works are to improve the road, which has been wearing out for years. However, the works are being carried out during the day when the traffic load is heavy, and the effects on businesspeople, workers, students, and freight transport are serious.

These works will supposedly end on Friday, just when the impact of visitors begins to be felt, so the traffic will be much more intense.

The lack of planning and little awareness of the works have generated chaos in the city.
