Luis Ernesto Munguía González, mayor of Puerto Vallarta, has been ranked the highest-rated mayor in Jalisco, according to the latest survey by the polling firm Statistical Research Corporation (SRC). The June 2025 survey shows Munguía with a citizen approval rating of 63.7%.

The study was conducted from June 22 to 24 through 1,000 telephone interviews per municipality. The survey carries a margin of error of ±3.8% and a confidence level of 95%. According to SRC, the results reflect current public opinion regarding mayoral performance in Jalisco’s major cities.

Top-Ranked Mayors in Jalisco

Following Munguía in the rankings are:

  • Laura Pérez (Tlaquepaque) – 62.4%

  • Verónica Delgadillo (Guadalajara) – 60.3%

  • Deysi Hernández (Ocotlán) – 60.1%

  • Juan José Frangie (Zapopan) – 59.2%

Miguel Esquivias of Tepatitlán de Morelos also appears on the list with a 59.0% approval rating, making him the highest-rated PAN mayor in the state.

Lowest-Rated Mayors

At the other end of the spectrum, the lowest approval ratings were recorded by:

  • Gerardo Quirino (Tlajomulco) – 50.2%

  • Elena Farías (El Salto) – 46.7%, the only mayor on the list with less than 50% support
