Following the presentation of the Filma Jalisco program at FITUR 2025, Puerto Vallarta is positioning itself as a prominent destination for international film productions.
Governor Pablo Lemus and municipal president Luis Munguía highlighted the program’s four pillars:
- Filma Fund: Offering economic incentives
- Filma Events: Organizing and attracting productions
- Filma Points: Focused on investment
- Filma Academy: Aimed at talent development
Alejandra Cornejo, Puerto Vallarta’s Tourism Director, reaffirmed the city’s commitment to becoming a benchmark for excellence in the global film industry. “We are ready to receive great productions that will boost our destination,” she stated.
The Filma Jalisco program seeks to establish Puerto Vallarta and the broader state as a leading film destination in Mexico and Latin America.
