On Monday, December 2, at 9:49 a.m., Puerto Vallarta City Council officials closed the construction of a 5G antenna at 210 Pedro Moreno Street in the Independencia neighborhood following community protests.
Municipal oversight staff arrived at the site and placed a large banner indicating that the project is halted until procedural details are reviewed. It remains unclear if the closure will be permanent.
The banner, prominently displayed at the property’s entrance, is marked with the stamp “0024,” dated December 2, 2024, and includes the file number DVM 73124. A visitation order is also posted at the top of the property gate.
When asked if the closure was definitive, inspectors clarified that the suspension is temporary while the situation is under review.
