Repairs on Mexico Avenue have prompted a partial closure, with authorities working to complete the project as quickly as possible. However, no specific completion date has been announced.
Starting at 6:50 a.m. on Thursday, the north-to-south traffic on Mexico Avenue between Valle de Atemajac Avenue and the old road to the dump was closed to allow repairs to the road grates.
To minimize disruptions, the following measures have been implemented:
- Two-way traffic on the south-north lane
Southbound vehicles are being rerouted into the northbound lane at Valle de Atemajac Avenue. They will continue in the opposite direction until reaching the old road to the dump, where they can return to their usual route. - Intermittent closures on Mexico Avenue and Las Palmas Avenue
Traffic is being diverted to Francisco Medina Ascencio Avenue to reduce congestion.
Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes and follow the instructions of traffic officers managing the situation.
