Mayor Luis Michel Rodríguez declared that the work to paint the buildings of La Aurora will be with resources from the private initiative, although he did not specify which companies would provide the materials and labor.

In an event with residents of the subdivision, the Municipal Government presented the project that would begin in approximately two and a half weeks.

The Strategic Projects management advisor, Jesús Ricardo Seguro Duarte, explained that first a survey will be carried out with the apartment owners, in which they will have to choose between seven colors: one pink, two shades of yellow, two lilacs and two blue.

The inhabitants will have to sign a peace agreement, in which at least 75 percent of the residents of each building agree to the application of polymeric paint, which is guaranteed for at least 15 years.

The project is long-term, as it is estimated that it will take at least five to six months for the 69 buildings, which were constructed 33 years ago.

In an interview, Michel said that the investment would be private, although, previously, he had only stated that 5 million would be allocated for painting, plus 4 million for labor.
