The “Government of Good” continues to implement initiatives aimed at improving Puerto Vallarta’s infrastructure and quality of life. One of its latest projects, led by Mayor Luis Munguía, focuses on upgrading the lighting in Linear Park—a popular spot for exercise and leisure activities.
As part of this effort, 60 outdated sodium vapor streetlights are being replaced with modern LED technology. This upgrade significantly improves the park’s illumination, enhancing safety for visitors while reducing energy consumption by 50%.
“This beautiful space deserves to be in better condition and, above all, well-lit so people can engage in physical activity early in the morning or at night, in a safe, supervised, and well-maintained environment,” said Mayor Luis Munguía regarding the initiative.
The lighting upgrade is part of a broader effort to enhance Puerto Vallarta’s urban infrastructure and ensure public spaces are safe and inviting for all residents. This project reflects the “Government of Good’s” ongoing commitment to fostering community well-being and sustainability.
