A video is generating a new wave of criticism of Jalisco Governor Enrique Alfaro on social networks, since he appears in the company of other people in a bar enjoying a drink and live music.

According to the comments on social networks, the bar is in the center of Zapopan. The video would have been recorded recently because some employees are seen wearing face masks.

However, there does not seem to be a healthy distance between people or tables, as established by the protocol to allow the operation of these commercial lines that was announced by the Government of Jalisco just a week ago.

This video is released just a day after it was been reported that Jalisco reached a record for hospitalizations due to the coronavirus, a peak that had not been recorded since last July 27.

On December 8, Alfaro met with mayors from three regions of the state that are on high alert for an upturn in coronavirus infections: North Region, Altos Sur Region, and Altos Norte Region.

“Either we act and press, or we will later have to regret the consequences of an omission on the part of the authority (…) what I am asking you is that we take seriously the provisions that we have to implement in the following days to prevent the health issue from getting out of control,” was the request that Alfaro made to the municipal presidents of those regions at the meeting.
