Get ready to rewind time this Sunday, May 4, as “Disco Night 80’s 90’s” lights up Lázaro Cárdenas Plaza (Parque de los Azulejos) in the Romantic Zone for a nostalgic celebration of music, dance, and community.

From 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the plaza will transform into a vibrant outdoor dance floor with local DJs spinning classic tracks from the disco, new wave, house, and pop scenes of the 1980s and 1990s. Now in its fifth edition, the event is organized by a collective of Puerto Vallarta DJs who blend nostalgia with purpose.

The event is free, but donations are encouraged to support Vallarta Cares, a nonprofit that provides meals for those in need.

Founding DJs Enrique Peña and Guadalupe Barragán say the goal is to bring old friends together in a family-friendly atmosphere while supporting a meaningful cause. “It’s about reconnecting with Vallarta’s nightlife roots and giving back to the community,” said Peña.

“Disco Night” is held twice a year and pays tribute to Vallarta’s legendary nightlife scene, when clubs like Carlos O’Brians, La Onda, City Dump, Sundance, and Ciros defined the social rhythm of the city. This edition will feature original vinyl sets played on classic turntables to recreate the authentic vibe of that era.

Performers include Vallarta favorites DJ Marco Rojas, DJ Marco Alarcón, DJ Watussy, DJ Btch, DJ Gil, DJ Óscar Bolaños, DJ Willy, DJ Jackson, and more surprise guests.
