Residents of the Buenos Aires and El Remance neighborhoods in the upper part of the Cuale River in Puerto Vallarta have reported sightings of at least one crocodile, approximately one meter long. Typically, these animals have been seen at the river’s mouth where it meets the sea, not in the upper part of the channel.

Videos of the reptile have been circulating on social media, causing alarm among locals who have never seen crocodiles in this area, as they are usually found in mangroves and estuaries.

The appearance of the crocodile has led to numerous 911 calls from residents, urging prompt action by the Green Patrol to secure the area and prevent potential incidents.

Despite these reports and promises to send a biologist to assess the situation, the presence of the crocodile has yet to be addressed effectively.

The local community remains on high alert, worried about the safety of residents, particularly children and pets that frequent the river area.
