In Puerto Vallarta on Saturday, federal authorities captured Agustín “G”, alias Don Guty or “El 14,” alleged operator of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel (CJNG) in the mountain area of the state, and a henchman of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias El Mencho.
A judge has already charged him with organized crime, and other crimes in Puerto Vallarta.
The Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) reported yesterday that, through the Special Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime Investigation (SEIDO), it obtained arrest orders against him, as well as another subject, both probable members of the criminal organization with a presence mainly in Jalisco.
His arrest occurred as part of the field investigation work, and, after an anonymous tip as to his location, a search warrant was granted by the Federal Judge for an address in the El Palmar del Progreso subdivision of Puerto Vallarta. There, the two subjects were arrested for alleged possession of firearms and narcotics. The authorities seized firearms, cartridges, chargers, cell phones, and 1,953 fentanyl pills.
After their arrest, the two were transferred to the SEIDO facilities in Mexico City, with the support of the National Defense Secretariat (Sedena), and were later presented before a criminal judge.
Through videoconference, the Federal Criminal Justice Center judge based in the East Prison, upon hearing the evidence from the FGR, order Agustín “G” and Leopoldo “P” to trial for the following crimes: participation in organized crime for the purpose of committing crimes against health; against health for commercial purposes of the narcotic drug fentanyl; possession of firearms for the exclusive use of the Army, Air Force and National Navy, and possession of cartridges for the exclusive use of the Armed Forces.
Agustín “G” was also charged with organized crime with the purpose of committing crimes related to kidnapping.
