Hurricane Genevieve (Genoveva) is a Category 4 hurricane, according to the Jalisco State Civil Protection and Firefighters Unit (UEPCBJ).
There is no record of damage in Jalisco, however the National Water Commission (Conagua) estimates that there could be heavy rain in Colima, Jalisco, Nayarit, and Michoacán.
Its movement continues towards the northwest, decreasing its speed to 24 kilometers per hour, accompanied by sustained winds of 215 kilometers per hour with gusts of 260 kilometers per hour.
