The University of Guadalajara has introduced Infovital, a new app and bracelet created to help locate people with Alzheimer’s or dementia who may be at risk of becoming lost.

The system sends real-time location alerts to as many as five emergency contacts. While the program prioritizes participants in research projects at the university’s Neuroscience Institute, it is also open to the public.

Those who qualify must make a minimum annual donation of 1,000 pesos. For more information or to participate in the research, contact the team via WhatsApp at 33-1575-1858.
