An unmarked, uneven speed bump on Francisco Medina Ascencio Boulevard at the intersection with Politécnico Nacional Avenue—near Naval Zone 12 and the La Paloma bullring—has been slowing traffic and frustrating drivers in northern Puerto Vallarta.

The asphalt rise, which appeared just over a month ago, spans the two north-south lanes and appears improvised, with no official signage. It remains unclear whether it was installed by traffic authorities or resulted from road maintenance work.

With drivers forced to brake for the bump and also stop at the nearby traffic light, congestion has worsened, especially during rush hour. Some vehicles must inch forward, prompting citizen complaints and calls for government intervention.
