Puerto Vallarta residents will once again have access to free medical and dental care as the Dr. Tucán Mobile Clinics make their rounds through neighborhoods from June 23 to 27. The mobile units, part of a public health initiative led by Mayor Luis Munguía, aim to bring basic healthcare directly to communities—especially those with limited access to clinics.

Each unit offers general medical and dental consultations, nutritional guidance, vital sign checks, and screenings for common illnesses, all at no cost. The program also emphasizes preventative care, helping detect early signs of conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, and respiratory issues.

Mobile Unit 1 will serve:

  • Monday, June 23: Brisas del Pacífico (5:00–8:00 p.m., Calle China)

  • Tuesday, June 24: Jardines and Del Mar (8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., corner of Tampico and Victoria)

  • Wednesday–Thursday, June 25–26: San Esteban (8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., main plaza)

  • Friday, June 27: Villa de Guadalupe (8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., 20 de Noviembre and Francia)

Mobile Unit 2 will visit:

  • Monday–Tuesday, June 23–24: La Primavera (8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Oyamel corner)

  • Wednesday–Thursday, June 25–26: Infonavit (8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Las Torres Ave.)

  • Friday, June 27: Job Fair at the Malecón Lighthouse (8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.)

Residents should bring an INE card and proof of residence. Children must be accompanied by an adult with a copy of the child’s CURP.

Dr. Miguel Ángel Suárez Ornelas, clinic coordinator, encourages all to attend, stressing that the goal is to make healthcare local, accessible, and preventative. Community feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many appreciating the ease and professionalism of the service.
