Jalisco Offers Up to 70% Discount on Vehicle Fines for ‘Buen Fin’

The Government of Jalisco, through the Ministry of Public Finance and the State Tax Service, has announced substantial discounts on vehicle fines and surcharges during November and December as part of its commitment to supporting the local economy and within the framework of the “Buen Fin” initiative, which runs from Friday, November 15 through Monday, November 18..

Under this program, residents can receive a 50% reduction on non-tax fines related to mobility, traffic, and transportation violations, as well as any surcharges incurred from these penalties.

For tax-related fines, a 50% discount will apply to unpaid annual renewal fees and holograms for various types of vehicles, including cars, trucks, vans, motor tractors, trailers, and motorcycles, whether for private or public use. The offer also covers surcharges generated by these debts, provided payments are made at official Tax Collection offices.

This program does not apply to penalties for driving under the influence or for using lanes reserved exclusively for public, collective, or mass transit.

As an added incentive, taxpayers who settle their vehicle-related debts through electronic platforms will benefit from a 70% discount on these fines.

The discounts are valid until November 30, 2024, for both in-person and online payments. Taxpayers can visit any of the 135 State Tax Collection Offices in the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area and across the state. To find the nearest office, they can visit: https://gobjal.mx/RecaudadorasAMG.
