A 41-year-old man was the victim of an armed robbery inside a bank located in a shopping plaza in Fluvial Vallarta, Puerto Vallarta.
The man had arrived at the bank to deposit money, and took a turn while waiting to be served.
At that moment, a subject armed with a gun approached him and demanded that he hand over the two briefcases he was carrying with him.
The assailant, described as dressed in black with a white helmet, after obtaining the briefcases, fled toward Francisco Villa Avenue, and headed down Río Potomac Street. It is unknown if he escaped toward El Pitillal or entered Fluvial Vallarta.
Municipal police officers arrived at the scene to interview the victim, who planned to file a complaint about the incident.
Despite an operation being carried out in the area, those responsible for the robbery were not arrested.
Residents are again reminded to bring police escorts when handling large amounts of cash.
