Saúl Alejandro C. has been formally charged in connection with the alleged sexual abuse of a baby in Puerto Vallarta, which reportedly occurred in October 2020. The District VIII Special Regional Prosecutor’s Office has made significant progress in the case, leading to the Control Judge linking Saúl Alejandro C. to the proceedings based on sufficient evidence.

The investigation began following a complaint filed by the girl’s mother, which the Prosecutor’s Office deemed crucial. Reports indicate that the alleged abuse took place at the defendant’s home in Puerto Vallarta, where Saúl Alejandro C., a relative of the victim, allegedly took advantage of a visit to commit the assault.

Following the incident, the girl’s mother and grandparents took her to a public hospital in Nayarit, where doctors confirmed that she had been sexually assaulted. This evidence enabled the Prosecutor’s Office to secure an arrest warrant against Saúl Alejandro C. for the aggravated sexual abuse of a minor.

Recently, the Investigative Police of District VIII apprehended the suspect, who was then presented before the Control Judge. After reviewing the evidence provided by the Public Ministry agent, the judge found it sufficient to bind Saúl Alejandro C. to trial, imposing a one-year informal imprisonment as a precautionary measure.
