Tropical storm Lidia remains on the Mexican Pacific coast, and continues its development, affecting the west of the country, where Jalisco is located, reported the National Meteorological Service (SMN), official climate source of the Government of Mexico.
The SMN noted that Lidia has strengthened, and is moving slowly toward the northwest. Its cloud breaks will reinforce the probability of heavy occasional rains in the west of the country and in Baja California Sur.
The forecast is that Lidia will cause heavy occasional rains in Sinaloa, Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima, and Michoacán, as well as showers in Baja California Sur.
Lidia is expected to become a Category 1 hurricane tomorrow, Saturday, October 7, when it will be 810 km south-southwest of Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
