Federal authorities seized 480 kilograms of methamphetamine hidden inside the false walls of several cargo vehicles during an operation in Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, Jalisco.
The seizure was announced by Omar García Harfuch, head of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), who said the discovery was made through coordinated efforts with the Attorney General’s Office and the federal Security Cabinet.
While no arrests were confirmed, officials stated that the drugs were confiscated and turned over to the federal Public Prosecutor’s Office for further investigation.
This operation marks another significant blow to drug trafficking networks operating in western Mexico.
The seizure is part of a broader national crackdown on the trafficking of narcotics and other illegal substances.
