Although it is decreasing, on average, 15 Covid-19 infections are detected daily at the Guadalajara International Airport.

Of every 100 passengers who travel abroad, and who need to present a negative Covid-19 test to board the flight, 20 are carried out at the Guadalajara air terminal.

This adds up to 1,300 people who are tested daily, of which 15 are infected with the virus, reported Martín Zazueta, director of the Guadalajara International Airport.

“We are currently having around 15 positives. Before the third wave, we were having two, one, or zero in many days,” he said. “There has been an increase, which is proportional to what we are seeing. However, it has already fallen a little more than a week or ten days ago, where the average was 20 or 22 positive people per day.”

He said that those who test positive, in addition to not being able to fly, are redirected to personnel from the Ministry of Health.

“Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have had medical personnel from the Ministry of Health here, and this is permanent,” he said.
